Top mount dampers are often used as replacements for leaky throat dampers. A top mount damper provide four season protection for your chimney. When closed, it serves as a chimney cap to
seal in heat and air conditioning, and to seal out birds, animals, insects and debris. Some models come with caps so even when the damper is open,
it still protects the chimney from birds, animals, insects and debris. Top mount dampers open and close by means of a cable dropped down the chimney to an easily
accessible handle that mounts to the inside of the firebox. See Demo

Lock-Top Chimney Damper
Help yourself slam the door on soaring energy costs. The Lock-Top Damper makes a super tight
seal with its silicone
rubber gasket. This tight seal can reduce heat loss by 90 percent over even new traditional throat dampers. Traditional
throat dampers have a metal-to-metal seal. They're leaky even when new and only get worse as they rust and warp with age.
The Lock-Top has a stainless steel lid attached to a cast-aluminum frame by an array of stainless spring wires.
It is operated by a 30' cable dropped down the chimney with a handle mounted in the firebox.
Just a tug on the handle will open or tightly close the Lock-Top.
Lock-Top II Chimney Cap / Damper
The Lock-Top II combines the engergy-saving features of the Lock-Top Damper with a special
stainlesss steel Gelco chimney cap. The Lock-Top II comes fully assembled. The base mounts to the a sweep's ring which attaches
to the flue with silicone sealant. A 30' stainless steel cable drops down the flue,
and a hardware set mounts in the firebox. The Lock-Top II has a lifetime warranty and is available in 3/4"
and 5/8" mesh.
Lyemance Top-Sealing Damper
A Lyemance Top-Sealing Damper is a superbly constructed and engineered damper that
